Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Laundry Manager to oversee the laundry services and linen management of our hotel and facilities. Working closely with the Executive Housekeeper, you will ensure that operations run smoothly through effective planning, monitoring, and control. Key Responsibilities: Recruit; induct, and manage staff in line with approved budgets. Arrange uniforms for the department and manage staff rosters. Maintain accurate records of hours worked and oversee leave administration. Plan and delegate duties and responsibilities for the team effectively. Ensure proper maintenance and operation of laundry equipment. Conduct stock takes, manage linen inventory, and control condemned linen. Train and develop staff, conducting performance appraisals to drive excellence. Maintain discipline within the department and uphold health and safety standards. Collaborate with Front Office and Housekeeping to ensure rooms are ready for check-in. Monitor and control the departments budget, aligning with approved operational targets. Minimum Requirements: Relevant diploma and/or 1-2 years experience in a 4- or 5-star property. Proficiency in computer systems and basic PC literacy.
