About the Role
The Logistics Controller is a critical role that oversees the smooth movement of containers within our organisation, ensuring timely delivery and collection of goods while maintaining accurate inventory levels.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and control inbound and outbound container movements
- Track container status using logistics systems
- Coordinate with shipping lines, transporters, depots, and port authorities
- Schedule deliveries, collections, and container repositioning
- Ensure accurate container inventory and resolve discrepancies
- Manage documentation related to container movements
- Monitor deadlines to avoid detention penalties
- Identify and resolve operational delays and issues
- Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements
- Prepare operational reports and performance updates
Requirements
- Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field
- Previous experience in logistics or container operations
- Strong understanding of transport and logistics processes
- Good analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills
- Proficient in logistics systems and Microsoft Office
