Management Accountant | Permanent

An established, high-volume supply chain operation is seeking a commercially astute Management Accountant to take full ownership of the financial and management accounting function across its Inland depots. This role is deeply embedded within operations and requires a professional who can translate financial data into practical insights that enhance efficiency, strengthen controls, and improve profitability.

Working closely with Regional Financial and Operations leadership, you will play a key role in shaping regional strategy, aligning financial performance with operational capacity, and ensuring strong governance across multiple sites. This is a high-visibility position that demands analytical strength, commercial awareness, and the confidence to engage senior stakeholders.

What Youll Do

  • Lead the full financial and management accounting function for Inland depots

  • Prepare and present consolidated monthly financial reports with detailed commentary and variance analysis

  • Drive cost control, asset management, and capital expenditure governance

  • Ensure the integrity of balance sheet accounts, accruals, journals, and intercompany transactions

  • Oversee compliance with procurement, levels of authority, and internal control standards

  • Manage budgeting and forecasting cycles across depots, ensuring alignment with national timelines

  • Strengthen stock control processes and minimise losses through cross-functional collaboration

  • Partner with operations to identify inefficiencies and implement corrective actions

  • Lead, coach, and develop Admin Controllers and regional finance support teams

  • Support audits and ensure clean audit outcomes with no recurring findings

What You Bring

  • BCom, BCompt or CIMA qualification

  • 5 to 10 years commercial and financial accounting experience

  • Proven management experience within a multi-site operational environment

  • Exposure to logistics, warehousing, or supply chain operations

  • Strong SAP and BW experience highly advantageous

  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint capability

  • Ability to interpret complex data and translate it into strategic insight

  • Strong communication skills with the confidence to engage senior management

  • High attention to detail and strong governance mindset
