A well-established, medium-sized short-term Insurance Brokerage, located in Parktown, is looking for a Motor Claims Technician to join their team! The Role: The Motor Claims Technician will take full ownership of the claims lifecycle. This is a vital role for someone who values a supportive environment and enjoys delivering a high level of service to a loyal client base. Key Responsibilities Manage the full end to end claims process for motor and non-motor risks. Register and process claims accurately on various insurer systems. Act as a dedicated liaison between clients, insurers, and assessors to ensure fair settlements. Apply technical knowledge of standard policy wordings to determine cover and excesses. Maintain a meticulous digital filing system and manage a strict daily diary. Appoint assessors and contractors while monitoring repair progress to ensure client satisfaction. Minimum Requirements Matric (Grade 12) qualification. Minimum of 2 years of claims experience within the short-term insurance industry (Brokerage experience is advantageous). Previous experience in a broker environment is highly beneficial. Valid DOFA confirmation with the FSB where applicable. Familiarity with both Commercial and Personal lines. Reliable transport (own vehicle preferred) and residence within the Johannesburg area. Technical Skills & Attributes Microsoft Excel and various insurer portal systems. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work effectively within a team and follow instructions with precision. A proactive approach to problem-solving and meeting strict deadlines. Punctuality and a commitment to the personalised service standards of the brokerage.
