Job Description
- Lead the financial accounting function for the Group and its subsidiaries, ensuring compliance with IFRS, the Insurance Act, and other relevant regulations.
- Prepare accurate management accounts, oversee tax reporting, and ensure timely submission of all statutory and regulatory filings.
- Drive process automation, maintain data integrity across financial reporting systems, and implement continuous improvements.
- Establish and maintain robust governance, accounting policies, and internal controls across the Group.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and development for the finance team, setting clear objectives and fostering a high-performance culture.
- Partner with operational teams and business units to provide strategic financial insights, support budgeting and forecasting, and contribute to business decision-making.
- Support new product onboarding, business strategy initiatives, and cross-functional projects.

- Ensure IFRS compliance and accuracy of all financial statements.
- Deliver timely, insightful management accounts and tax reporting.
- Drive operational efficiency through process automation and data integrity initiatives.
- Maintain strong governance, controls, and policy adherence across all finance functions.
- Develop and retain a high-caliber finance team.
- Provide actionable business insights and financial guidance to support strategic objectives.
Minimum Requirements:
- Qualification: NQF Level 7 – Finance Degree (CA(SA) or CIMA).
- Experience: 5–8 years’ financial accounting experience within the financial or insurance sector, including at least 3 years in a management or leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of the financial sector and insurance industry, including IFRS 17.
- Advanced IT and system skills, with the ability to manage complex reporting processes.
