About the Role
The IT Specialist will be responsible for the development, implementation, integration, and optimisation of business intelligence solutions and core systems. The successful candidate will ensure seamless data flow, reporting automation, system resilience, and continuous digital improvement across finance, operations, sales, and technical divisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver end-to-end BI solutions using Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate
- Develop and maintain AL / C/AL customisations within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (NAV)
- Build and manage SQL-based data models, APIs, and ETL pipelines
- Create dynamic dashboards and data visualisations aligned to stakeholder needs
- Drive operational insights through structured reporting and automation
- Own and manage core business systems including Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (NAV), the Power BI platform, project management systems, energy monitoring systems, ERP integrations, and PLC software development
- Lead system upgrades, integrations, and customisation projects aligned to business objectives
- Conduct system audits, ensure resilience, and drive security and governance best practices
- Develop and maintain architecture roadmaps for integrations and technology improvements
- Implement integrations across Dynamics 365 (BC & CRM), SQL Server, APIs, and external applications
- Automate reporting across sales, finance, operations, and technical divisions
- Develop and maintain custom reporting tools using RDLC, Excel, and Word templates
- Ensure data accuracy, reliability, and completeness across all pipelines
- Oversee daily IT operations, including coordination with third-party support providers
- Manage hardware and software provisioning, setup, and maintenance
- Ensure cybersecurity protocols and disaster recovery processes are effective
- Monitor and optimise system performance and user experience
- Create and maintain technical documentation for systems, workflows, and integrations
- Conduct system training and onboarding to maximise user adoption
- Act as the internal technology advisor, working closely with finance, operations, sales, and technical teams
- Lead troubleshooting and resolution of system issues
Requirements
- Strong expertise in Power BI (including DAX), Power Apps, and Power Automate
- AL / C/AL development in Business Central / NAV
- API development and integration (REST, JSON)
- Microsoft SQL Server (ETL, queries, stored procedures)
- Understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Experience in project deployment and change management
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
