Job Description

About the Role

Network Finance is seeking an experienced Interim Head of Finance to take control of the finance function and stabilise operations for a 3-4 month contract. The role involves implementing structure and controls, supporting upcoming audit and funding processes, and delivering results in a high-pressure environment.

Key Responsibilities

Take full ownership of the finance function and team
Stabilise day-to-day finance operations including cash flow and reconciliations
Identify gaps and implement robust financial processes and controls
Prepare the business for upcoming audits and funding initiatives
Maintain tight control over cash flow, liquidity, and forecasting
Partner with the CFO on financial strategy, cost optimisation, and decision-making

Requirements

Education:

CA(SA) preferred
CIMA or equivalent qualification considered

Experience:

5 – 8 years’ experience in finance with leadership exposure
Proven experience in fast-paced, high-growth or tech-driven environments
Strong background in stabilising underdeveloped finance functions
Experience supporting audits, funding processes, or investor reporting

Skills:

Handson, detail-oriented finance leadership
Strong problemsolving and processbuilding capability
Resilience in high-pressure environments
Excellent stakeholder communication
Commercially astute with strong operational judgement
