Responsibilities:

• Oversee financial transactions, compliance, and accurate monthly reporting
• Apply IFRS 15 revenue recognition for solar EPC project contracts
• Review income statements and balance sheets, ensuring completeness and accuracy
• Submit monthly and ad hoc group reports, including entries into Onestream consolidation system
• Prepare and present management reports within strict deadlines
• Ensure cost allocation at project and cost centre levels
• Assess and enhance financial processes for efficiency
• Develop margin analysis tools and reports, collaborating with operations teams for insights
• Provide data-driven financial insights to support management decisions
• Prepare accurate cash flow forecasts and monitor working capital requirements
• Improve financial forecasting models and analytical tools
• Offer strategic financial guidance, reconciling balance sheet items monthly and annually
• Oversee payments, reconciliations (VAT, payroll, suppliers, etc.), and month-end close processes
• Manage and mentor finance department staff
• Strengthen internal controls, ensuring compliance and process improvements
• Prepare audit files and facilitate statutory audits
• Manage foreign payments, forex exposure, and company insurance policies
• Maintain key stakeholder relationships (banks, auditors, landlords, etc.)
• Handle tax calculations and submissions (income, provisional, and deferred tax) to SARS, including tax audits
• Oversee stock take procedures and analyse results
• Lead the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts
• Optimize financial systems and processes for better efficiency
• Create financial reports and presentations for directors and shareholders
• Provide backup support for the Group Financial Manager as needed
• Tackle additional finance-related projects and responsibilities

Skills & Experience:

• Minimum 4 years of post-article experience in the industry
• At least 4 years in group reporting, including project and staff management
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Experience in financial management within the construction and/or renewable energy sectors (preferred)
• Familiarity with SAP Business One (advantageous)
• Proficiency in Excel (Intermediate level or higher)

Qualification:

• Qualified CA(SA)
