Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and manage project budgets, ensuring costs align with approved scope and financial plans
- Capture and process sub-consultant and supplier invoices accurately in the ERP system
- Prepare and maintain detailed project cost reports and perform regular reconciliations
- Liaise with Project Managers and senior stakeholders to track project financial performance
- Ensure all project-related expenses are compliant, documented, and correctly allocated
- Assist with project audits and ensure adherence to accounting standards
- Support cost-benefit analyses, forecasts, and ad-hoc project-related financial reporting
Job Experience and Skills Required:
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in project accounting, financial analysis, or a related role
- Experience within construction, engineering, infrastructure, or the built environment is highly advantageous
Skills:
- Proficiency in accounting systems (e.g. Deltek, SAP, QuickBooks, or similar)
- Strong MS Excel skills
- Solid understanding of accounting principles, budgeting, and financial reporting
Other Non-Negotiables:
- Strong attention to detail and analytical ability
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
