Job Summary
What You’ll Be Doing
- Assist in designing and building voice and chat bots that enhance customer engagement.
- Support the development of NLP/NLU models and speech technologies (like speech-to-text and text-to-speech).
- Help implement AI-powered QA tools for monitoring and improving customer interactions.
- Work with APIs and cloud tools to integrate AI into real business platforms.
- Keep learning—from large language models (LLMs) to ethical and inclusive AI design.
- Collaborate with a skilled and supportive team of AI professionals.
Your Toolkit
- Languages: Python (preferred), SQL, R or Java
- Tools & Libraries: TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face, Git (experience or keen interest welcome)
- Concepts to Know: NLP basics, speech recognition, machine learning fundamentals
- Nice to Have:
- Knowledge of AI in customer service or BPO space
- Interest in African language tech
What You’ll Bring
- Honours degree (or currently completing) in AI, Computer Science, Data Science, Computational Linguistics, or similar
- 0–1 years of hands-on experience (internships, projects, coursework, Kaggle competitions all count!)
- Passion for building smart, scalable tech that makes a difference
- A curious mind and willingness to learn fast in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills—technical and non-technical
