About the Role
Our client in the Telecommunications industry is seeking an experienced On-Site UC Engineer to join their team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining complex Unified Communications systems, ensuring seamless connectivity and high-quality audio/video conferencing experiences for users nationwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Management of client Skype for Business deployment
- Polycom On-premise VC Infrastructure monitoring, management and scheduling
- UC/AV First Line Support and conference assistance for all users, nationally.
- Troubleshooting and repairing of faulty solutions
- Management of all Boardrooms, including AV and VC equipment
- Implementation, testing and monitoring of Proof of Concept deployments
- All reporting required from the client
- Responding to calls logged by users
- Providing remote/telephonic support
- Review, understand and enforce all policies and procedures outlined in Health and safety policy
Requirements
- Grade 12 certificate
- Skype for Business implementation qualifications and provable track record. References of implementations will be required.
- Must have necessary knowledge of network and unified communications platforms
- Must be able to read and fully understand Schematic drawings and terminology and be able to support systems accordingly
- Polycom VC Infrastructure management knowledge (PCVE Qualification )
- Knowledge of AV cable terminations
- Experience in AV/UC Support
- Good skills with hand tools
- Team player

- Willing to work in Johannesburg
- Strong knowledge of UC/Audio Visual systems
- Good communication skills
- Proof of technical skills
- Able to handle immense pressure
- Good time management essential
- Good planning skills
- Strong attention to detail is essential
- Must have a valid Driver’s license
