About the Role
The Operator Trainer will be responsible for delivering comprehensive training to mining operators, ensuring they are competent and certified before machine operation. This role requires a highly skilled individual with excellent communication, presentation, and administrative skills, who can convey training to various people on different skill levels.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure operators are competent and certified before machine operation.
- Deliver training suitable for varying skill levels.
- Develop and maintain up-to-date operator training documentation.
- Create training material for new machines and engage with technical team and production to ensure training material aligns to machine layout, software, and function.
- Review and revise material following machine or specification changes.
- Establish training opportunities at customers for recertification of operators and technical training requirements.
- Prepare training proposals.
- Assist with providing technical training as and where needed to ensure teams keep to their schedule.
- Conduct practical and theoretical assessments.
- Issue competency licenses, attendance certificates, and record all training records on training register.
- Follow up on quotes and orders.
Requirements
- Matric.
- Assessors Training Certificate.
- Minimum of 5-year mining operator experience.
- Experience in Training Teams / Individuals and creating Training Material.
- Competent B Valid driver’s license.
- Minimum of 5 years’ trackless mining operator experience.
- Fluency in English.
- Strong communication, presentation, and administrative skills.
