About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Product Compliance Engineer to join our team in Johannesburg. As a key member of our compliance team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our products meet all relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards. With 5-7 years of experience in product compliance, approvals, or certification within electronics/software R&D or manufacturing environment, you possess the skills and expertise to manage the full product approvals lifecycle from kick-off to certification.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full product approvals lifecycle from kick-off to certification.
- Compile and maintain Technical Construction Files for approval applications.
- Act as primary contact with test labs and homologation partners.
- Prepare and submit applications for new and existing products.
- Communicate test results to engineering for design improvements.
- Document and archive all reports, submissions, and certificates.
- Provide status updates to stakeholders and technical support for approvals.
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or Computer Science
- 5–7 years’ experience in product compliance, approvals, or certification within electronics/software R&D or manufacturing environment
- Proficient in MS Office (Jira a plus)
- High computer literacy
- Experience with explosive environments/functional safety (IEC 61508) is advantageous.
