About the Role
The Production Supervisor plays a critical role in overseeing daily operations within the Deboning Hall, ensuring that production targets, quality standards, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance are consistently met.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and co-ordinate daily/weekly production schedules.
- Manage the day to day operations and assist in all areas of production to meet production targets.
- Report on daily yields and track line efficiencies.
- Identify training needs and provide appropriate training and coaching on the production floor.
- Maintain constant adherence to all company, customer, and legal requirements regarding Food safety and aspects related to authenticity and Quality assurance.
- Staff Supervision: Supervise and guide production staff, monitor their productivity, and counsel them on how to achieve optimal workflows.
- Participate in departmental meetings regarding product quality and processes when required.
- Ensure that the highest levels of Service, Quality, and Workmanship are maintained.
- Drive a culture of excellent adherence to Health & Safety of all employees through the maintenance of a safe working environment.
Requirements
Minimum 3 to 5 years supervisory experience in a meat or food processing plant, preferably in a unionised environment. Experience with regulatory compliance.
Qualifications
Minimum National Diploma/Degree or equivalent. Preferred: HACCP or equivalent food safety certificate.
