Hire Resolve’s client, a leading construction company in Johannesburg, is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their team. We are dedicated to delivering high-quality construction services to our clients and are committed to excellence in all aspects of our work.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for construction projects
• Analyze project drawings and specifications to identify materials, labor, and equipment requirements
• Conduct quantity take-offs and prepare bills of quantities
• Prepare and evaluate tender documents
• Negotiate and procure subcontractor and supplier quotations
• Monitor project costs and provide regular cost reports to project teams
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering solutions
• Ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions
• Prepare and evaluate variation orders and final accounts
• Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports

Requirements:

• A relevant technical qualification and be registered as a quantity surveyor with a minimum of 8 years experience.
• Experience in Built environment projects
• Experience on an engineering construction site
• An above average understanding of contract management and knowledge of various standard forms of contract in construction & engineering
• Willing to work on project sites
• Strong problem-solving skills including excellent and proven client engagement ability
• Strong analytical skills
• Commercial astuteness
• Experience with contractual claims
• Mentoring and development of young talent
• Previous experience working in WinQS and DimX
• Ability to Travel
