About the Role
Daisy Business Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Renewable Energy Engineer (Solar & BESS) to join our team in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering timely proposals, designing and implementing solar systems, conducting grid studies, and providing technical expertise to project teams and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Proposal Delivery Time: Average time taken to deliver project proposals.
- On-time Delivery Rate: Percentage of project proposals delivered on or before the deadline.
- Design Implementation:
- Design: Design and optimize solar systems, including photovoltaic (PV) and other solar technologies including generators.
- Design Review Cycle Time: Time taken to complete a thorough design review process.
- Populating project BOQ (Bill of quantity).
- Design compliance and quality assurance inspections
- Grid Studies:
- Reviews technical studies prepared by consultants to ensure compliance with Grid code
- Profitability:
- Project Profit Margin: Overall profit margin achieved on solar energy projects.
- Project Cost Control: Variance between estimated and actual project costs.
- Communication and Reporting:
- Partner satisfaction with communication and reporting.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with stakeholders, including project managers, contractors, and clients.
- Reporting Timeliness: Adherence to scheduled reporting timelines.
- Technical Expertise:
- Provide technical guidance and support to project teams and stakeholders.
- Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot technical issues and develop solutions.
- Optimize system performance and efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Engineering Degree (Mech/Elec) or similar.
- Registration as Professional Engineer a preference.
