About the client: Established in 2019, our client is an independently owned, boutique investment manager, based in Johannesburg. They are deeply committed to delivering superior returns through their rigorous bottom-up valuation methodology which provides deep understanding of every company they invest in. Our client currently manages R40bn of predominantly institutional client money. Role Purpose The Investment Distribution Specialist will be responsible for driving the distribution of our client’s Investment products to retail clients and Independent Financial Advisors (IFAs). This role requires a strong understanding of investment products, excellent relationship management skills, and the ability to communicate complex investment concepts in a clear and compelling way. Key Responsibilities: Develop and execute a distribution strategy to grow assets under management (AUM) within the retail and IFA channels Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with IFAs, wealth managers, and retail investors Present our client’s investment philosophy, process, and product range to prospective and existing clients Conduct regular client meetings, roadshows, and training sessions for IFAs Collaborate with the investment team to ensure accurate and timely product information is communicated to clients Monitor competitor activity and market trends to identify new business opportunities Maintain accurate CRM records and prepare regular sales and pipeline reports Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field (CFA or CFP designation advantageous) Minimum 5 years’ experience in investment distribution, preferably within asset management Proven track record of building and managing relationships with IFAs and retail clients Strong knowledge of investment products, markets, and regulatory requirements Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team Key Competencies: Client-focused with a consultative sales approach Commercially astute with strong business development skills High integrity and professionalism Analytical thinker with the ability to simplify complex investment concepts Resilient, adaptable, and results-driven
