About the Role
Join a large, well-established international group with operations across multiple countries, where tax is core to the business. As a Retail Tax Consultant (Administrator), you’ll have strong exposure and responsibility from day one, with the chance to sharpen your technical tax skills in a fast-moving, high-performance finance environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit tax returns including provisional tax, VAT, dividends tax, import duties, and related documentation.
- Handle tax queries and audits, providing information to revenue authorities and auditors when required.
- Perform reconciliations between revenue authorities and group entities across multiple countries.
- Maintain tax records, compliance schedules, and correspondence, ensuring payments are made on time.
- Monitor tax legislation changes and apply them to calculations and processes.
- Support ad hoc tax projects and process improvements within the finance team.
Requirements
Recognized finance-related degree at NQF Level 7 or higher. Minimum 2 years practical tax experience. Previous exposure in a tax or finance role within a medium to large organisation is advantageous. Experience working with multiple tax types such as VAT, corporate tax, and related compliance. Confident communicator, comfortable engaging with external authorities when required. Good computer literacy with confident use of Excel and finance systems.
