About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for driving personal sales performance and achieving revenue targets in the Johannesburg office, securing new business in freight forwarding, contract logistics and supply chain solutions, and leading a team to achieve monthly and annual targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and secure new business opportunities
- Conduct high-level sales presentations
- Negotiate high-value contracts
- Develop strategic account plans
- Set KPIs and monitor team performance
- Conduct pipeline reviews and performance evaluations
- Ensure CRM discipline and reporting accuracy
- Analyse market trends and competitor activity
- Prepare forecasts and revenue projections
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years experience within the Logistics / Freight Forwarding / Contract Logistics industry
- Proven track record in global tenders and large corporate accounts
- Previous sales team management experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of air freight, ocean freight, road freight, warehousing and supply chain services
- Ability to build executive-level relationships and close high-value deals
- Valid drivers licence and willingness to travel
