Job Summary
Our client is looking for an administrator for a temporary period whilst they are recruiting for a permanent replacement so this post is temp to possibly go permanent
The ideal candidate will be:
- Providing support within the educational organisation;
- Processing and maintaining pupil applications, acceptances and records (includes data input and manual filing);
- Assisting Examinations Officer with Exams Administration;
- Performing administrative duties as and when required;
- Running of reception and switchboard;
- Daily pupil attendance;
- Various other ad hoc duties as determined by the position;
- Typing of administrative and academic material;
- School report administrator;
- Photocopying
- Assisting with enrolment process;
- Maintaining diaries and making appointments for management;
- Maintain the general email accounts (info@) responding to queries / directing enquiries as required;
- Assist in the upkeep of contact records, including student, staff and trustee contact information;
- Maintain a clean, tidy and orderly administration office;
- Help maintain general order in the school e.g. clearing lost property and tidying notice board;
- Cash and Card payment receipting;
- Prepare relevant paperwork, such as registers, where required;
- Assist with pupil first aid/welfare duties, looking after sick pupils, liaising with parents/staff etc.
- Undertake other duties commensurate with the level of this position;
Competencies required:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
- Good typing, organisational and administrative skills;
- Able to work accurately under pressure;
- An ability to maintain confidentiality is essential;
- Enthusiastic, energetic and creative;
- Must be a team worker;
- Computer literate;
- Microsoft office skilled.
- Fluent in English and IsiZulu (writing and speaking)
- Must be familiar with D6
Qualifications:
- Minimum requirement is Matric, or equivalent, with typing skills.
- Computer literacy (MS Office) is essential.
- First Aid qualification would be advantageous.
- A secretarial qualification would be advantageous.
