Johannesburg: Senior BI Developer – Johannesburg – R1mil to R1.02mil per annum posted by E-Merge

A provider of comprehensive enterprise Business Intelligence (BI) solutions whose focus is on helping companies strategically manage their financial, operational, and sales environments has an opening for a Senior Business Intelligence Developer who will be responsible for tasks such as data modelling, dashboard creation, and using their analytical skills to provide valuable insights to the clients.

Responsibilities:

• Translate business needs to technical specifications.
• Design, build and deploy BI solutions (e.g., data warehousing models)
• Evaluate and improve existing BI systems.
• Collaborate with teams to integrate systems.
• Develop and execute database queries and conduct analyses.
• Create visualizations and reports for requested projects.
• Develop and update technical documentation.
• Client Data Support
• Maintain and support data analytics platforms.
• Conduct unit testing and troubleshooting.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelors in computer science or informatics or similar
• Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate in
• Business Intelligence Development
• Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert
• Microsoft Certified Azure Data Engineer
• Background in data warehouse design (e.g., dimensional modelling) and data mining
• In-depth understanding of database management systems, online analytical processing (OLAP) and ETL (Extract, transform, load) framework.
• Familiarity with BI technologies
• Power BI
• DAX
• Microsoft SQL, T-SQL
• SSRS, SSIS, SSAS
• Azure
