About the Role

The Senior Manager Enterprise Architect will be responsible for translating strategic enterprise architecture direction into actionable roadmaps, developing reference models, patterns, and reusable components, and delivering enterprise architecture solutions that align with clients’ goals. This role requires a strong understanding of technical concepts, including Robotic Process Automation, Blockchain, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Big Data, Internet of Things, and Cognitive Computing, as well as experience in leading architecture teams or squads.

Key Responsibilities

Translate strategic enterprise architecture direction into actionable roadmaps
Develop reference models, patterns, and reusable components
Simplify and rationalise the technology landscape
Analyse complex IT application landscapes
Identify non-trivial technology decisions
Develop technology strategy, future state architecture, and roadmap for assigned area(s)
Document IT architecture using standard architecture models
Rationalise application and BI platforms to avoid duplication of functionality or divergence from strategies
Evaluate appropriate systems, tools, and technologies, and make selection recommendations
Drive consistency in architectural patterns and building blocks
Support architectural governance and enable consistent adoption of standards, principles, and models
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate and refine proposed solutions

Requirements

Matric plus NQF Level 7 Qualification in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
NQF Level 9 Qualification in Enterprise Architecture, Business Administration (MBA), or Digital Transformation
Recognised Enterprise Architecture certification (e.g., TOGAF, ArchiMate)
Certification in IT Governance or related disciplines (COBIT, ITIL)
8-10 years experience in enterprise or solutions architecture
Demonstrated ability to design and deliver complex technology solutions
