Job Description
Our client, a market leader in their field, is seeking to employ an experienced Senior Sales Administrator based in Johannesburg, East Rand.
Previous experience in the construction industry essential and non-negotiable.
The ideal candidate must have their own reliable transport.
Requirements:

Grade 12 (Matric).
-
Certificate or Diploma in Sales & Marketing and/or Office Administration.
- Minimum of 4 years working experience in the sales and marketing field.
-
Fluent in English (spoken and written).
-
Strong Microsoft Excel skills (report creation, hyperlinks, data management).
-
Excellent planning and organisational abilities.
-
Strong customer service and telephone communication skills.
-
Experience with Pastel Accounting software.
-
Experience with Customer-Relationship-Management (CRM) systems.
Responsibilities and expectations but not limited to:
Internal Sales
-
Handle incoming customer calls and assist with queries.
-
Follow up on quotations to convert into sales.
-
Identify and engage new customers.
-
Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
-
Maintain friendly and professional communication with clients and staff.
-
Monitor deliveries and collections where necessary.
-
Ensure consistent customer contact and effective quote-to-sale conversion.
Customer Service
-
Ensure customer satisfaction in all areas of responsibility.
-
Represent the company professionally and uphold a high standard of service.
-
Exceed customer expectations through proactive communication and delivery.
-
Maintain a professional appearance during client interactions.
-
Ensure 24-hour turnaround on customer queries.
-
Provide product information, brochures, and updates.
-
Maintain constant, clear, and timely customer communication.
-
Respond to complaints, communicate solutions, and provide feedback.
-
Maintain accurate CRM records.
Administration Duties
-
Cost products and prepare quotations, including tender documents.
-
Follow up on submitted quotations and tenders.
-
Maintain a structured customer and product database.
-
Ensure accurate costing and invoicing on accounting software.
-
Support the Safety Officer with OHS documentation updates.
-
Maintain and update Service Level Agreements with customers.
-
Ensure all accepted quotations have signed Terms & Conditions.
-
Compile and submit professional tender and contract documentation.
-
Collaborate with the finance department to prepare and maintain sales reports.
-
Monitor deposit invoices, balance invoices, and retentions.
-
Create and maintain a job register.
Sales Support
-
Coordinate and manage sales team schedules and commitments.
-
Ensure adequacy of sales materials and equipment.
-
Organise and maintain both financial and non-financial sales data.
-
Compile and present sales reports.
-
Process all sales orders accurately and timeously.
-
Track team progress and monitor target achievements.
-
Assist in preparing promotional material for events and trade shows.
-
Oversee and verify the accuracy of junior administrative staff.
General Responsibilities

Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.

Uphold confidentiality and data privacy standards.
-
Support team members and assist with admin queries when required.
-
