Tackler Vacancy Job Title: Tackler Seniority Level: Mid Career (2 – 4 yrs exp) Type: Contractor Duties and Responsibilities: Review the scope of work and production plan and direct and execute the placement of Lifting Machines and Rigging Equipment. Estimating the size, shape and weight of objects to be moved, including recognizing of center of gravity. Participate in the compilation of Rigging Studies and Risk Assessments. Conduct pre-use inspections on all Lifting Machines and Rigging Equipment certificates. Conduct continuous surveillance of the environment and load of Rigging Equipment. Work independently in execution of lifting and rigging tasks. Provide guidance on techniques, equipment use, inspections, and good rigging practices. Read and understand rigging drawings, rigging studies, and risk assessment documentation. Basic knowledge of Labour Law and OHS Regulations. Qualifications: Grade 12 with English, Maths/Science/Technical Drawings. Minimum of 3 years working experience as a Tackler in a Boiler environment.
