Job Description

New contract opportunity available on 6 months contract for Technical Support Specialist in Client Service (CIB) – To provide Technical support and resolve client issues in resolving host-to-host connectivity issues, regression testing, in UAT environments and ensure changes into production. A top-tier banking institution is seeking a Client Service Technical Specialist to provide expert technical support to corporate and institutional clients using treasury and trade solutions. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys troubleshooting, client engagement, and ensuring seamless host-to-host connectivity. Youll work closely with internal technical teams and external clients to resolve complex issues, test system changes, and ensure stable production releases all while playing a key role in enhancing client experience. Key Responsibilities Resolve host-to-host connectivity issues for treasury and trade clients, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations Interpret and resolve client file formats to enable successful processing of payments and collections Conduct regression testing in UAT environments to validate system enhancements and changes before production deployment Collaborate with internal technical and support teams to resolve complex client incidents and technical queries Manage change requests, including new IP configurations for QA and production environments Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions, issues, and resolutions within the CRM system Provide technical guidance and support to clients, empowering them to resolve routine technical queries Adhere to SLAs and escalation procedures while contributing to continuous service improvement initiatives Job Experience & Skills Required / Ideal Candidate Profile Education: Bachelor of Technology in Information Technology (or equivalent) Honours degree in IT would be advantageous Experience: 45 years experience in business or systems analysis, technical support, or a similar banking/financial services role Experience supporting treasury systems, payments platforms, or host-to-host connectivity solutions Exposure to UAT testing and production release processes Skills: Strong understanding of file formats used in payments and collections Technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Excellent client communication and stakeholder engagement abilities Experience working within SLA-driven environments Ability to document and analyse technical issues accurately Non-negotiables: Financial services or banking industry experience Strong attention to detail and a client-centric mindset Apply Now! About the Role

A leading Cloud Solutions company is seeking a highly skilled Technical Specialist to join their Professional Services team. As the technical architect and trusted advisor for their customers, you will design, deploy, and manage sophisticated communication solutions that solve real-world business problems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Solution Lifecycle: Responsible for the entire solution lifecycle, from initial design to successful implementation and ongoing optimisation.
  • Solution Architecture & Design: Architect, design, and deploy bespoke VoIP and contact center solutions that meet and exceed client expectations.
  • Technical Leadership: Act as the subject matter expert for their product suite, guiding clients through complex technical challenges and demonstrating the value of their offerings through compelling presentations and demos.
  • Project Collaboration: Work closely with the Projects department to ensure solutions are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standard.
  • Infrastructure Management: Install, configure, and maintain network services, servers (including clusters), and software. Manage system backups, monitor performance, and perform advanced troubleshooting to ensure maximum uptime and reliability.
  • Client Enablement: Provide detailed training to clients, empowering them to make the most of their new systems. Analyse their business processes to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Commercial Acumen: Contribute to tender bids and formulate solution pricing and quotes, aligning technical possibilities with commercial goals.
  • Innovation & Strategy: Maintain the future roadmap for solution upgrades and run pilot programs (POCs) for new technologies within customer environments.

Requirements

  • Qualifications and Experience: Matric essential. Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience essential. 6 years in a technical customer-facing role (e.g., 1st/2nd Line Support, Technical Account Management).
  • Skills and Experience: 5 years of hands-on experience with VoIP and IP Telephony technologies. Proven expertise in network diagnostics and proficiency with monitoring tools (e.g., Zabbix). A valid driver’s license and own reliable transport are required.
