About the Role
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Virtual Bookkeeper – Finance Assistance to join our finance team in a fully remote, online role. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and consistency of our financial operations, working closely with our UK-based company to provide seamless support.
Key Responsibilities
- Processing supplier and customer invoices accurately using online finance system
- Maintaining purchase and sales ledgers remotely
- Managing a shared finance inbox and responding to queries via email and internal tools
- Performing regular bank and account reconciliations
- Posting payments and allocating receipts
- Assisting with credit control and chasing outstanding balances
- Supporting month-end processes through reconciliations and checks
- Maintaining accurate digital records and audit trails
Requirements
- Previous experience in a finance assistant, accounts assistant, or similar transactional role
- Comfortable carrying out repetitive, process-based finance tasks
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy when working independently
- Able to manage deadlines in a remote working environment
- Confident using cloud-based accounting systems (Xero, Sage, QuickBooks, or similar)
- Good written communication skills for handling queries remotely
