This Finance Manager role is a senior leadership position responsible for the full finance function as well as oversight of IT, procurement, payroll, and administrative operations.
The incumbent will play a critical role in driving financial strategy, ensuring compliance, and supporting executive decision-making across multiple business units. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Finance and Administration function, including accounting, payroll, procurement, IT, and support services
- Drive financial planning, budgeting, reporting, and month-/year-end processes in line with corporate standards
- Oversee cash flow, treasury, banking relationships, and credit control functions
- Deliver cost accounting, margin analysis, and operational performance insights across sales, manufacturing, and logistics
- Develop financial models, business cases, and Capex evaluations to support strategic decisions
- Ensure compliance with statutory, tax, legal, and corporate governance requirements
- Manage stakeholder relationships including auditors, banks, and regulatory bodies
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives and strengthen financial systems and controls
Job Experience and Skills Required:
Education:
- NQF 7: Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma in Accounting (non-negotiable)
- Qualified CA(SA)
Experience:
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience in financial or management accounting
- Exposure to manufacturing environments
- Proven leadership experience managing teams and cross-functional operations
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong financial and commercial acumen
- Advanced cost accounting, financial analysis, and modelling capability
- ERP systems experience and financial systems governance
- Solid understanding of audit, internal controls, and compliance frameworks
- Experience in process improvement and operational efficiency (PDCA principles)
- Ability to operate across multiple business functions (sales, manufacturing, logistics)
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Leadership presence with the ability to drive change and develop teams
