About the Role

The Workflow Analyst Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring the efficiency, scalability, and alignment of business workflows with company goals. This position acts as a bridge between business operations and technical implementation, requiring strong analytical skills, experience with workflow or process automation platforms, and a passion for continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse new and existing business process requirements to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities.
  • Map current and future-state workflows using BPMN [Sonata RDA BMPN tool].
  • Translate detailed requirements from business stakeholders into functional workflow designs.
  • Ensure workflows align with company policies, compliance requirements, and operational standards.
  • Build, configure, and maintain automated workflows in Sonata RDA.
  • Design workflow logic, triggers, conditions, transitions, correspondence, validations, and integrations.
  • Implement automation scripts or rules to streamline repetitive manual user tasks and sub-processes.
  • Integrate workflows with internal and third-party systems (e.g., FICO, MuleSoft [BV, SMS], SSIS, SBS) using available connectors or APIs.
  • Ensure data accuracy and consistency across connected systems.
  • Manage workflow-related permissions, access, and security controls.
  • Troubleshoot workflow defects, investigate failures, and resolve logic/configuration problems.
  • Provide consulting and support to business stakeholders and end-users on workflow-related questions and improvements.
  • Provide support with production incidents and migration-related tasks and issues when required.
  • Build and maintain dashboards, operational reports, and performance metrics related to workflow efficiency.
  • Monitor workflow performance and recommend iterative improvements based on data-driven insights.
  • Maintain workflow governance, continuous improvement, and best-practice methodologies.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of business process analysis and workflow design.
  • Experience with workflow or automation tools.
  • Knowledge of BPMN, process mapping, or continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with both business and technical audiences.
  • Confidence working with cross-functional teams and presenting to senior stakeholders.
