About the Role
The Auxiliary Social Worker plays a vital role in providing structured social work support services to vulnerable families, children, and youth within the CFE Programme. Under the direct supervision of a registered Social Worker, you will contribute to family assessments, psychosocial support, home visits, referrals, documentation, and community-based interventions.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide structured social work support services under the direct supervision of a registered Social Worker.
- Contribute to family assessments, psychosocial support, home visits, referrals, documentation, and community-based interventions.
- Assist vulnerable families, children, and youth in line with approved intervention plans.
- Ensure strict adherence to safeguarding standards, ethical practice, and organisational and statutory guidelines.
Requirements
- Recognised qualification in Auxiliary Social Work.
- Registration with the South African Council for Social Service Professions (SACSSP) as an Auxiliary Social Worker.
- Adherence to all relevant South African legislation and ethical standards.
- Minimum 13 years experience in community-based social services, family support or child wellbeing programmes.
