About the Role
The Auxiliary Social Worker plays a vital role in providing structured social work support services to vulnerable families, children, and youth within the CFE Programme. Under the direct supervision of a registered Social Worker, you will contribute to family assessments, psychosocial support, home visits, referrals, documentation, and community-based interventions.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct family assessments and provide casework assistance
- Offer psychosocial support and family strengthening interventions
- Provide child protection and safeguarding support
- Support youth development through school-based interventions
- Engage with the community to coordinate referrals and services
- Document, monitor, and report on programme progress
Requirements
- Recognised qualification in Auxiliary Social Work
- Registration with SACSSP as an Auxiliary Social Worker
- Adherence to all relevant South African legislation and ethical standards
- Minimum 13 years experience in community-based social services, family support or child wellbeing programmes
