Job Description
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join a dynamic operation based in Langebaan. This role offers the opportunity to manage full-function bookkeeping and accounts administration across multiple entities within a structured and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- General Bookkeeping
- Monthly cashbook processing
- Bank reconciliations and petty cash management
- Preparation of monthly management statements
- Assist with annual budgeting processes
- Month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Accounts Payable and Receivable
- Process supplier invoices and manage payments
- Perform supplier reconciliations
- Maintain customer accounts and issue invoices
- Manage collections and follow-ups
- Resolve supplier and customer queries
- Systems & Cash Management
- Export/import Clubmaster invoices into Pastel
- Perform weekly cash-up reconciliations across entities
- Liaise with department managers on processing queries
- Maintain accurate system records (cash-free environment)
- Payroll Administration
- Process monthly payroll across all entities
- Manage leave administration and employee records
- Handle employee onboarding and terminations
- Process weekly casual staff payments
- Submit PAYE, SDL & UIF returns
- Complete annual payroll reconciliations
Requirements
Bookkeeping qualification or relevant experience
Strong proficiency in Xero
Experience with Clubmaster (advantageous)
Solid understanding of South African tax and payroll regulations
High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
Ability to manage multiple entities and deadlines
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
