About the Role
The Employee Relations Manager will be responsible for ensuring that all employees are treated fairly and with respect, while also upholding the company’s values and principles. This role requires a strong understanding of labour legislation and the ability to apply this knowledge in a practical manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and processes
- Provide guidance and support to management and employees on labour-related matters
- Ensure compliance with all relevant labour laws and regulations
- Conduct investigations into employee complaints and grievances
- Negotiate with trade unions and other governing bodies as required
- Foster positive relationships with employees at all levels of the organization
- Manage conflict and difficult situations in the workplace
Requirements
- Grade 12 is essential
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources/Labour Relations or LLB Degree
- Honours Degree in Human Resources/Labour Relations or LLB Degree will be advantageous
- Minimum five (5) years’ experience in a similar role, of which at least two (2) years in a management/leadership capacity
