Job Description

As a Guide Instructor, you will play a key role in shaping the next generation of nature guides through immersive, field-based training. Working for a leading wilderness education provider in Southern Africa, you’ll deliver hands-on instruction in ecology, wildlife tracking, and guiding skills, while mentoring students to develop the knowledge, confidence, and ethics needed for a career in conservation and ecotourism.

Core Criteria:

  • FGASA NQF4 guides
  • FGASA Trails Guide and Current Advanced Rifle Handling
  • Guiding and other related industry experience
  • Current NDT Registration
  • Current PDP (desirable)
  • Current FGASA Membership
  • Maintenance experience is a plus
  • Excellent administration skills
  • Must be a natural leader who commands respect
  • Mature and responsible
  • Well spoken, well-groomed and presentable
  • Positive attitude and approach toward teamwork
  • Ability to take initiative and problem solve
  • Passionate and pro-active towards personal growth and training
  • Must have excellent references
