About the Role
As a Curio Sales Lady at Bright Placements, you will be responsible for managing our curio shop, providing an excellent shopping experience for guests, and maximizing sales. You will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, promoting local crafts and souvenirs, while ensuring a high level of customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome and assist guests in a friendly, professional manner.
- Promote and sell curio items, souvenirs, crafts, and local products.
- Upsell and cross-sell products to enhance guest experience and revenue.
- Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and requests efficiently.
- Maintain inventory and stock levels, including reordering when necessary.
- Receive deliveries and check for accuracy and quality.
- Organize displays and maintain a visually appealing shop layout.
- Conduct regular stock counts and report discrepancies.
- Operate the cash register or POS system accurately.
- Handle cash, card, and other forms of payment securely.
- Prepare daily sales reports and submit to management.
- Arrange products in an attractive and accessible way.
- Display promotional items and seasonal products.
- Assist with marketing initiatives to promote curio products to guests.
Requirements
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Good sales and negotiation abilities.
- Basic numeracy and cash handling skills.
- Attention to detail and organization skills.
- Knowledge of local crafts, souvenirs, and tourism products is advantageous.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications
Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent; additional retail or hospitality training is an advantage.
