About the Role
As a Reliability Engineer at our company, you will play a critical role in designing, building, and operating scalable, secure cloud infrastructure on AWS. You will be responsible for managing Kubernetes clusters, implementing infrastructure-as-code using Terraform, and driving cost optimisation and performance improvements. This is an expert-level position that requires 10+ years of experience in DevOps, Infrastructure Engineering, or SRE.
Key Responsibilities
- Cloud & Infrastructure Design, build, and operate scalable, secure cloud infrastructure (AWS)
- Manage Kubernetes clusters, including upgrades, health, and scaling
- Implement infrastructure-as-code using Terraform
- Drive cost optimisation and performance improvements
- Ensure high availability, scalability, and disaster recovery readiness
- Build and optimise CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins)
- Automate operational processes and reduce manual effort
- Implement deployment automation and GitOps practices
- Maintain build tools and artifact management systems
- Implement security controls in CI/CD pipelines (SAST, DAST, scanning)
- Enforce best practices across cloud, containers, and IAM
- Drive vulnerability remediation and compliance alignment
- Balance security with delivery speed
- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions
- Build dashboards for real-time system visibility
- Lead incident response and root cause analysis
- Continuously improve uptime and system resilience
Requirements
- 10 years experience in DevOps, Infrastructure Engineering, or SRE
- Strong hands-on AWS experience (EC2, EKS/ECS, RDS, S3, IAM, VPC, Lambda)
- Expertise in Terraform (or similar IaC tools)
- Strong Kubernetes and Docker experience
- Proven experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation
- Scripting skills (Bash, Python)
- Experience with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, ELK)
- Strong troubleshooting and incident management capability
- Solid understanding of security best practices in cloud environments
Qualifications
- Degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
- Relevant certifications advantageous (AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform)
