About the Role
Africa Fuel Projects is seeking an experienced Civil Supervisor / Site Manager to join their team in Meyerton. The ideal candidate will have a strong civil background and proven experience in petrochemical/fuel/industrial construction. As the site manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of project execution, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and maintaining high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as AFP Site Manager on assigned projects
- Plan and control daily/weekly site programmes
- Manage labour, materials, plant, tools and subcontractors
- Read drawings, set out works and enforce correct execution
- Oversee earthworks, excavation, compaction and layer works
- Manage concrete works (foundations, slabs, bunds, bases)
- Structural works including formwork, rebar and minor steel interfaces
- Drainage, trenching, brickwork and finishing works
- Operate and manage Dumpy Level set-out
- Ensure mechanical interface support (bases, thrust blocks)
- Enforce safety compliance and stop unsafe work immediately
- Control quality, inspections, snag lists and as-built records
- Submit daily diaries, progress reports and site feedback
- Supervise teams and subcontractors with strict discipline
Requirements
- Proven experience in petrochemical / fuel / industrial construction
- Strong civil background (concrete, earthworks, drainage, structures)
- Ability to read and interpret civil drawings accurately
- Dumpy Level experience essential
- Strong leadership and site control ability
- Computer literate (Excel, email, reporting, MS Projects)
Qualifications
- Valid Code 08 drivers licence (PDP advantageous)
