Job Description

Key Purpose: Utilisation of knowledge of tendering requirements and legalities to effectively manage – bids through internal and external coordination. Identification and initiation of ways to develop and improve the company’s tendering processes through the provision of specialist advice and ongoing bid quality assurance. Tasks and Duties: • Create and implement processes to support – bids • Manage company’s registration and activity on respective bid sites • Actively search for tender opportunities relevant to the company’s products / solutions profile • Initiate and chair tender kick-off meetings • Maintain the bid timeframe ensuring that inputs are submitted on time • Assume full responsibility for collation of the final bid document, ensuring accuracy and quality standards are met • Contribute to the formulation of the bidding strategy, taking into consideration client trends, special requirements, competitors’ approach and in-house capacity. • Minimise risk to the business and ensure that tenders are submitted in line with Macrocomm policies and procedures. • Draft and adapt non-technical – and technical as appropriate – inputs, so they are specific to the Terms of Reference. • Deal with external subcontractors as part of collaboration for bid execution. • Ensure that final products are aligned to Macrocomm branding and quality requirements, e.g., logo, font, length and readability of the text, use of data-visualisation and diagrams etc • Participate in appropriate capability networks to ensure feedback, lesson learning and continuous improvement. • Promote best practice tendering and sharing learning across the organisation and through reviews on tenders and tendering processes. • Manage end to end business proposal requirements through co-ordinated stakeholder engagements Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience • Coursework related to bids and tenders management Experience • 5 years’ experience as a Bid administrator/ specialist or related tendering experience • Demonstrated ability to write winning proposals, and strong knowledge of tendering requirements, legalities, and guidelines • Experience within the IoT industry • Experience with smart meter management/ utility solutions
