About the Role
Hire Resolve is seeking a skilled and experienced Bookkeeper to join our client’s construction industry team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting background and excellent attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for the construction projects
- Process invoices, receipts, and payments in a timely manner
- Prepare monthly financial reports including profit and loss statements and balance sheets
- Monitor project budgets and track expenses
- Reconcile bank statements and accounts
- Assist with payroll processing and employee benefits administration
- Assist with tax preparation and filing
Requirements
Proven work experience as a Bookkeeper or Accountant in the construction industry (3 Years)
Proficient in accounting software such as QuickBooks or Sage, IQRetail
Strong understanding of construction project costs and budgets
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
