About the Role
Hire Resolve is seeking a skilled and experienced Bookkeeper to join our client’s construction industry team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting background and excellent attention to detail, with proven work experience as a Bookkeeper or Accountant in the construction industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for the construction projects
- Process invoices, receipts, and payments in a timely manner
- Prepare monthly financial reports including profit and loss statements and balance sheets
- Monitor project budgets and track expenses
- Reconcile bank statements and accounts
- Assist with payroll processing and employee benefits administration
- Assist with tax preparation and filing
Requirements
- Proven work experience as a Bookkeeper or Accountant in the construction industry (3 Years)
- Proficient in accounting software such as QuickBooks or Sage, IQRetail
- Strong understanding of construction project costs and budgets
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
