Reporting to the Financial Manager, you will ensure accurate financial statements, support audits, and contribute to strategic financial planning. Duties:
 

• Lead the preparation of financial results (monthly, biannual, and annual statements)
• Ensure compliance with IFRS and insurance regulations
• Manage the general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and intercompany transactions
• Support internal controls and month-end reconciliations
• Handle VAT calculations and ensure tax compliance
• Liaise with external auditors and manage audit processes
• Provide training and mentorship to junior accounting staff
• Drive process improvement and system enhancement projects
• Perform detailed financial analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities

 
Job Experience & Skills Required:
 
Qualifications:
 

• Matric (Grade 12)
• BCom Accounting
• BCom Honours / CTA
• CA(SA)

 
Experience:
 

• Completed SAICA Articles
• Minimum 3 years of financial accounting experience, with at least 2 years in the insurance sectorStrong knowledge of IFRS and regulatory requirements
