JOB PURPOSE:Responsible for the efficient and accurate management of inventory within the Stores Department, ensuring that all stock is correctly received, stored, recorded and dispatched. The role involves ensuring the smooth operation of the stores function, maintaining stock control and supporting the Stores team in meeting operational targets.Function: Manage and oversee the storage, organization and movement of inventoryAccountabilities:INVENTORY MANAGEMENT Receive, inspect, and verify incoming stock for accuracy and quality. Maintain accurate stock levels through regular stock taking and ensure that stock records are updated in real-time. Properly label, organize, and store items according to their designated location in Stores. Monitor and report on stock levels, ensuring that reorder thresholds are met in a timely manner. ORDER FULFILMENT AND DISPATCH Pick and pack items according to customer orders, ensuring accuracy in quantities and product types. Prepare goods for delivery, including labelling, documentation, and ensuring that items are packed securely for transport. Ensure that all dispatches are done within the agreed timelines. STOCK CONTROL AND ROTATION Implement FIFO (First In, First Out) or other relevant stock rotation systems to prevent product expiry or obsolescence. Conduct regular cycle counts and ensure discrepancies are reported and rectified. Assist in annual stock.
