About the Role

The Commodity Specialist role at Network Finance is based in Mbombela, where you will report to the Operations Manager and contribute to the company’s procurement process as an Intermediate Specialist. This permanent position offers a unique opportunity for someone with experience in industrial, procurement, materials management, or finance to join our team.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies for tactical, non-category managed products.
• Analyze supply markets and demand patterns to inform decisions.
• Negotiate short- and medium-term commercial agreements.
• Draft and finalize supply and service level agreements.
• Collaborate with Legal to ensure compliance in agreement drafting.
• Ensure procurement aligns with specifications and sourcing strategies.
• Identify and pursue opportunities for contract placement.
• Monitor supplier performance and implement cost-saving initiatives.
• Mentoring and monitoring a procurement team, building relationships, sharing expertise, and fostering growth through regular, open communication.

Requirements

• 5-8 years of experience in industrial, procurement, materials management, or finance.
• Strong relationship building skills.
• Support our management in planning, executing, and controlling the procurement process.
