About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and service-driven Assistant Lodge Manager for a luxury game lodge situated in the North West Province. This role is ideal for a hospitality professional with a strong Food & Beverage background who thrives in a guest-facing environment. The successful candidate will play a key leadership role in overseeing F&B operations, driving service excellence, supporting the kitchen team, and maintaining exceptional guest experiences throughout the lodge.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee the Food & Beverage department
  • Ensure exceptional service delivery across all guest touchpoints
  • Maintain and continuously improve operational and service standards
  • Support the Head Chef and kitchen operation where required
  • Manage daily F&B operations, ensuring efficiency and consistency
  • Supervise and mentor front-of-house and service teams
  • Conduct regular service training and performance coaching
  • Monitor guest satisfaction and proactively address concerns
  • Assist with stock control, ordering, and cost management processes
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards
  • Support lodge management with daily operational requirements

Requirements

Previous experience as an Assistant Lodge Manager, F&B Manager, Restaurant Manager or similar leadership role within luxury hospitality. Strong Food & Beverage operational experience. Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop hospitality teams. Excellent understanding of luxury service standards. Strong guest relations and problem-solving abilities. Financial awareness including stock control and cost management. Excellent communication and organisational skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Salary & Benefits

R25,000 – R30,000 (CTC DOE)
