About the Role
A well-established company in the agricultural automation space is currently looking to appoint an experienced Automation Technician (Field Service) to support installation, commissioning, testing, and ongoing technical support across irrigation and fertigation systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, commission and test automation and fertigation systems
- Provide technical support to internal teams, dealers and end-users (telephonic on-site)
- Assist with technical projects and proof-of-concepts (POCs)
- Support assembly of: Automation irrigation systems Fertigation systems Controllers, cabinets and control solutions Radio control systems IoT systems (Internet of Things)
- Test software, hardware, and internet interfaces
- Panel wiring and working with controller hardware/software
- Filter repairs, fertigation equipment repairs, and pump servicing
- Manage stock control, planning, and field service admin
Requirements
National Diploma (or higher) in Electrical / Electronic / Mechatronics
Valid Drivers Licence
35 years relevant technical experience
Comfortable communicating in English and Afrikaans (essential)
