Key Responsibilities
1. Department Operations

Oversee the receiving, storing, rotating, and displaying of all fruit and vegetable products.

Ensure the department meets quality, freshness, and presentation standards at all times.

Maintain proper temperature control and handling processes to reduce waste and spoilage.

Implement seasonal and promotional layouts to maximise sales.
2. Inventory & Stock Control
-
Conduct regular stocktakes and maintain optimal inventory levels.

Monitor product quality and remove items not meeting standards.
-
Forecast demand and place orders with suppliers to ensure product availability.

Minimise shrinkage through effective rotation and waste management strategies.
3. Customer Service
-
Provide friendly, knowledgeable assistance to customers regarding produce selection and use.

Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and special requests professionally.

Ensure the department delivers a consistently positive shopping experience.
4. Team Leadership
-
Supervise, train, and motivate department staff.

Create staff rosters and allocate daily tasks.

Promote a safe, efficient, and supportive working environment.

Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing coaching.
5. Compliance & Safety

Ensure adherence to food safety standards, hygiene procedures, and company policies.
