About the Role
Complete Healthcare Services is seeking Enrolled Nurse Assistants to join our team in the Northern Cape region. As a valuable member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work closely with patients and their families to provide high-quality care and support. Your duties may involve caring for patients with various medical conditions, including tracheostomies, dementia, quadriplegia, palliative care, and more.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide basic care and assistance with personal hygiene, such as washing, dressing, grooming, feeding, and support with moving and toileting.
- Administer medications under the supervision of a registered nurse or family member.
- Document patients’ conditions and progress, including vital signs and any changes.
- Manage feeds for tracheostomy babies using a feeding pump.
- Observe changes in patients’ condition and record in the daily report.
- Assess sleep routines of patients and discuss with registered nurses to plan care accordingly.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of treatment plans set out by other team members, including doctors, NSMs, and physiotherapists.
- Good communication skills with supervisors, colleagues, patients, and family members.
- Knowledge of dealing with emergency situations in a patient’s home.
- Knowledge of Geriatric Care, Paediatric Care, Dementia Care, Post Stroke Care, Ventilation Care, Catheter care (indwelling, supra pubic, intermittent), prevention of pressure sores, trachea care, and suctioning of trachea patients.
- Skilled in writing reports.
Qualifications
- Level and Accreditation Diploma as a qualified Enrolled Nurse Registered with the South African Nursing Council (SANC)
