About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and hands-on Food & Beverage / Front of House team member to join our small, family-run eco lodge in Livingstone, Zambia for the upcoming season. Set on a beautiful horse ranch along the Upper Zambezi River, this is a unique opportunity to live and work in a remote, nature-rich environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage front-of-house food & beverage operations
- Maintain a well-organised kitchen, pantry, and stock room
- Manage stock control, place orders, and handle purchasing
- Work closely with chefs, assisting in the kitchen when required
- Implement and manage set menus (with occasional creativity and input)
- Support the Lodge Manager with day-to-day operational duties
- Host and engage with guests in the evenings
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and service
Requirements
- Independent; self-motivated, and highly organised
- Strong work ethic with attention to detail
- Enjoys being part of a close-knit team
- Passionate about food, hospitality, and guest experience
- Comfortable working in a remote environment
- Computer literate with an excellent command of English
- Flexible and willing to assist across departments

Salary & Benefits
- 9-month seasonal contract
- On-site accommodation in a stunning natural setting
- Lunch and light breakfast provided daily
- Dinner provided when hosting guests
- One day off per week (can be accumulated and taken during quieter periods)
- Return flight at the end of the season
- Initial inbound flight reimbursed after successful completion of a 3-month probation period (subject to mutual agreement)
