About the Role

The Teddy Bear Foundation, a leading organization in providing support to victims of sexual abuse, is seeking an experienced Clinical Psychologist to join our team at the Krugersdorp and Soweto Branches. The successful candidate will specialize in Forensic preparation and court hearings for individuals with intellectual disabilities who have been abused as children.

Key Responsibilities

• Provision of psychological assessments to adult and child rape and abuse victims whose cognitive abilities are in question.
• Appearance in court, when/where required by the law, on behalf of the TBF.
• Generation of reports (within four weeks) of each assessed child.

Requirements

• Specialization in Forensic psychology with expertise in assessing intellectual disability in individuals who have been abused as children.
• Strong ability to work with trauma and traumatised individuals.
• High level of confidentiality and professionalism.
• Ability to maintain a high work ethic and meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• Formal education in Psychology (e.g. Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree).
• Registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a Psychologist.
• Relevant experience in forensic psychology and/or working with trauma survivors.
