About the Role
Pump and Abrasion Technologies (PABT) is a global leader in the design, manufacturing, and assembly of heavy-duty slurry pumps. We are seeking an experienced CNC Operator to join our team. As a CNC Operator, you will play a critical role in producing high-quality precision parts while ensuring machines run efficiently and accurately.
Key Responsibilities
- Programming, setting up and operating computer numerical control (CNC) machining
- Measuring and verifying calculations prior to setting up machinery
- Entering relevant codes to specify feed, speed, and cut of toolpaths for CNC
- Reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, drawings, and work instructions
- Loading and unloading workpieces and CNC production equipment
- Monitoring machining operations and performing quality control checks
- Following safety requirements and maintaining certifications
- Completing routine maintenance of machinery
- Maintaining a clean and organized working environment
Requirements
- Ability to translate mechanical documents and engineering drawings
- Great attention to detail with a goal-driven attitude
- Strong comprehension and analytical abilities
- Good computer and mathematical skills
- Understanding of Fanuc controls
- Experience on Vertical CNC lathes is advantageous
Qualifications
- Certificate or diploma in engineering (advantageous)
- 3 years experience as a CNC Machine Operator (required)
- Relevant trade qualification required
- Microsoft Office Intermediate (valid)
