Patensie: Junior Production Manager

About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic Junior Production Manager to assist in planning, implementing, and monitoring production programs. This role will be based in the Patensie area, Eastern Cape, offering an opportunity to grow in both technical management and strategic planning.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and monitor pest control, fertilization, and planting programs.
• Monitor cultivar trials and planting activities.
• Manage technical staff and coordinate daily production operations.
• Ensure compliance with standards such as Global GAP, Farming for the Future, DAFF, and SIZA Environmental.
• Develop and implement standard operating procedures and training for production practices.
• Procure and manage inputs related to pest control and fertilization.

Requirements

Strong computer skills, especially in Excel and digital monitoring systems. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to lead a team. Adaptable, well-organized, and passionate about sustainable production.

Qualifications

Tertiary qualification in Agriculture (advantageous).
