About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Lodge Anchor to manage our Private Game Reserve based in Philippolis. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of lodge operations, including staff management, training, and development. Your exceptional guest relations skills, combined with your ability to plan ahead and problem solve, will ensure that our guests have an unforgettable experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Meticulous in all aspects of managing the lodge
- Overseeing Staff with the General Manager
- Staff training and development
- Assisting the marketing manager to get content for social media
- Hosting duties
- Allocation of Airport Transfers
- Assistance around the lodge in other departments if needed
- Stock control and stock takes
- Manage the housekeeping and front office departments in conjunction with HOD
- Ensure the lodge maintains the required standards aesthetically
- Assist with Events planning and execution
- Assist with menu planning and cost control
Requirements
- At least 2+ years experience in a high-end lodge environment
- Valid RSA Driver’s License (will be an advantage)
- Computer literate
- Exceptional Guest Relations skills
- Ability to manage staff
- Understanding and ability to manage the different departments
- Ability to plan ahead and problem solve
- Financial experience in budget control, stock takes, and stock control
Qualifications
- Grade 12 (formal qualification will be an advantage)
